Blog 8: Progress Progress Progress Progress.
Welcome back everyone! So this will probably be a rather short update. This week was mostly spent just revising boards, getting feedback, and using that feedback to revise boards even further. I spent the first half of this week drawing out thumbnails on a storyboard pro.
I’ve encountered a fun issue with my laptop, in which storyboard pro causes my laptop to bluescreen. The cause of the bluescreen, however, is something I’ve never quite seen before. The thing I discovered about my old laptop is that if I left a storyboard pro on idle on my computer for more than a few minutes, then it would freeze my computer entirely and then bluescreen it. Though if I was constantly drawing/moving my mouse around it won’t bluescreen. This has led me to playing a game I like to call “keep drawing and nothing has to die” in which I just keep on drawing and don’t ever stop. The good news here is that it’s led to me slowly becoming looser and looser with my art, which is something I’ve been trying to work on for years so, small victories.
This week as well I have begun working on getting more crucial frames into my animatic, adjusting the timing, and adjusting the sound as well. All of this has led to a much more cohesive story, one that I am slowly becoming more and more satisfied with.
That doesn’t mean the work is over though. In fact, the work is only just starting. I still have so much work to complete before this is finished, and I am going to keep chipping away at it week by week until I am proud of it.
Below is the art of all my work this week, I hope everyone enjoys and I’ll see y’all next week with more updates!
