Hello and Welcome back, this week has really flown by fast, hasn’t it?
So, a lot has happened in the last few days. I got a lot of feedback from a professional storyboarder recently on my boards. A lot of it was minor camera changes to make everything flow much smoother.
The first thing I did was finally finish moving everything over to the storyboard pro, which was a bit of a hassle. Then I organized all the work and began making those important camera changes. I wanted to first work on making sure the camera angles were nice, so I made rough quick sketches to test out camera angles. Then I began cleaning up particularly messier frames and trying to make them look consistent style wise. I also began adding in between frames to make everything feel more animatic-y.
I also went through my aftereffects file and began updating all my frames as I went, which took quite a bit of time as well. This week if you cannot tell was mostly just getting reorganized and reprioritized. Finally, though, I believe I am getting back to a good pace.
I believe my work is finally ready to begin pure animatic portion, and as I work, I am also going to continue to work on my smaller, next story ideas. For this next storyboard I’m going to be purely working off a short paragraph description, and it’s going to be extremely short and simple. I doubt I’ll even get to the animatic portion of the assignment.

For now though, here’s the animatic video!
